This is one of the most frustrating parts about politics. Everyone seems to pick a side then morphs their views to align with that side. Most people have absolutely no idea what they are signing up for when they buy the whole package. It is the good and the bad. I don't fit into the boxed in criteria of either party so I am forced to vote for a bunch of things I like and get stuck with it a bunch of crap I don't want. /my2cents ps.
